A shul without walls
I have been teaching in the Young Israel of Lawrence Cedarhurst for years, and much of it has been recorded. Two thousand shiurim, across Tanach and halacha and Jewish history, sitting in various places on the internet where almost nobody can find them.
This is the attempt to fix that. Everything in one place, arriving on a schedule, so that learning does not depend on remembering to go looking for it.
About Rabbi Trump
Rabbi Ya'akov Trump serves as the Rabbi of the vibrant community of the Young Israel of Lawrence Cedarhurst. Part of his mission is to share his passion for the Torah and its relevance in contemporary times. His innovation has led to numerous engaging programs in his community and beyond. He has published articles on many platforms, is a featured speaker on YUTorah.org, and has created the Tanach Yomi App and the Halacha Yomi App.
He teaches at the Shulamith High School for girls in Cedarhurst. Rabbi Trump co-chaired the 59th annual RCA Convention for hundreds of Rabbis across America, was a proud delegate representing the Orthodox Israel Coalition at the 38th World Zionist Congress (2020), and was one of the Rabbonim on the RCA Batei Dinim for Geirus in the 5 Towns. Rabbi Trump served as a Vice President of the Rabbinical Council of America and sat on the board of the Vaad of the Five Towns and Far Rockway.
After graduating high school, he spent several years in Kerem BeYavneh in Israel, followed by Ner Yisrael in Baltimore. He holds a BA in Mathematics from Yeshiva University and has taken multiple Actuary exams. While completing Semicha at RIETS, he served as Rabbinic Intern at Kesher Israel in Washington D.C., Young Israel of Jamaica Estates and the Beth Din of America. He spent two years as Rabbinic fellow of the YU Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago creating new programs and shiurim.
He and his wife, Malka, and children live in Lawrence.
